Pre-Care Instructions for Permanent Makeup Services
Proper pre-care is essential for the best healed results. Follow these guidelines to ensure your skin is in the best condition for your permanent makeup procedure.

General Pre-Care for All Permanent Makeup Services
Avoid the following for at least 24-48 hours before your appointment:

  • Alcohol

  • Caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks)

  • Blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil (unless prescribed by a doctor)

  • Waxing, threading, or tweezing the area


Avoid for at least 3 weeks before your appointment:

  • Tanning or sun exposure

  • Retinol, chemical peels, or exfoliating treatments on the treatment area


Stay Hydrated & Moisturized:

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

  • Moisturize the area lightly in the days leading up to your appointment.


Medical Considerations:

  • If you are pregnant, nursing please wait until you are no longer pregnant or nursing before booking 

  • If you have any medical conditions, consult with your doctor before booking.

  • If you are on Accutane, you must wait at least 6 months before getting permanent makeup.


Specific Pre-Care for Each Service
Lip Blush 

  • Hydrate! Drink plenty of water and apply a lip balm daily.

  • Exfoliate your lips gently 3 days before with a sugar scrub or a soft toothbrush.

  • If you have a history of cold sores, take antiviral medication (like Valtrex) 2 days before, the day of, and 2 days after your appointment to prevent an outbreak.

  • Avoid lip fillers at least 4 weeks before your procedure.


Lash Line Enhancement (Eyeliner Tattoo) 

  • Remove lash extensions at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • Avoid using lash serums (like Latisse) for at least 1 month before, as they can cause sensitivity.

  • Do not wear any eye makeup to your appointment.

  • If you wear contacts, bring glasses, as you cannot wear contacts for 24 hours after the procedure.


Powder Brows & Microblading 

  • Avoid Botox or fillers in the brow area at least 2 weeks before.

  • If you use brow serums, stop at least 1 month before.

  • Do not tint or dye your brows for at least 1 week before.

  • Arrive with clean skin—no makeup or skincare on your brows.
